A sickening sputter and clunking sound could be heard as David drove down the deserted road, in the middle of a storm at 1 in the morning. With a final shudder, the Ford piece of rental crap had broken down. After he grabbed his cell phone, David tried to make a call for help, only to find he had no service. With a groan, he grabbed his bag and left the car, walking in the pouring rain. A faint light could be seen ahead as he trudged along, getting drowned by a passing car and the water it splashed onto him.
Finally after many colorful British swear words, he reached the lighted area. ‘It had to be one of the most sleazy places he had ever seen.’ He thought as he trudged into the office to get a room. Behind the counter sat a fat old bald guy with a old black and white TV set on. Hearing familiar music he stared at it. It was a old re-run of Dr. Who. Quickly he diverted his attention back to the occupant behind the desk.
After asking for a room and getting his key, he once again trudged outside, and found his lodgings. With a grimace he opened the door and looked inside at the awful green shag carpeting and the yellow and orange, peeling wall paper. In disgust he walked in and closed the door behind him.
After peeling off his drenched clothes and laying them out to dry, he found some dry things in his bag, put them on and uneasily went to sleep after bolting his room door from the inside.

Cillian looked at his cell and had a missed call, it was from his friend David Tennant. Apperently he was somewhere around route 66. "What would you be doing around there you fool,"said Cillian to himself and sighed. He tried calling David but the operator kept saying his cell was out of service. Cillian grabbed his keys and decided to go find David.

He awoke in confusion as many blinding, clashing, colors assaulted his tired eyes. Looking around he groaned and sat up. Standing up he walked towards the restroom, afraid of what he would find. Opening the door he stopped and stared at the brown and black walls. ‘Bloody hell, its all mold and mildew’ he thought to himself as he took a step in to use the toilet. As he started to leave the filthy restroom, a sudden crunch and squishy feeling oozed between his toes. Looking down, he starred in horror at the giant roach that was now squashed in between his toes. Quickly he washed his foot in the filthy sink and dodged back into the sleeping area.
